Every year NTTS calls and verifies all the information contained in the directory. Noting the states where area codes are expected to be changed, we update our records accordingly. We immediately update any change of address, location, or phone number. Also in our updating process, we delete vendors that are out of business (which can be in the hundreds!) or any that has a Three-Strike-Rule against them (See below). If they are a corporate location, the headquarters verifies their contact information with us.
How we find our information...
Publishing the NTTS Breakdown Directory for over 17 years, we have built-up an extensive database of repair locations. To add new locations to our database, we use numerous and diverse reference sources available to us (above and beyond your basic yellow pages and verifying all the information given to us). Every year we have expanded our database by 2,000 to 5,000 new locations! This is a service we provide. We respect the right to privacy. We will not sell or distribute any of the personal information of our users or our advertisers at any time for any purpose. We do not publish zip code information to discourage unwarranted mail and phone solicitations. We do not believe in banner ads or pop-up window ads.
The Three-Strike-Rule...
When we receive a complaint on a repair location, we note that in their file. We follow up with the repair location and get a better understanding of the situation. Then we decide if the complaint has merit or not (we are not a mediator between disputes). When we receive three merited-complaints, the repair location is immediately and permanently removed from the directory. NTTS reserves the right to refuse or discontinue any ad for any reason.
